Broadfield House, Crawley

Broadfield House is a two-storey villa with a bow-fronted design, Welsh slate roof, and a column-supported verandah on the east and north sides. The building features classical proportions and crafted details characteristic of early 19th-century construction.

The house was built in 1830 on the Tilgate Estate as the region began to grow. After World War II, it served as headquarters for the Crawley Development Corporation, which directed the town's rebuilding and expansion.
