The Belfry

The Belfry is a golf resort in Wishaw with three separate courses laid across Warwickshire fields, including the Brabazon Course and the PGA National Course. A four-star hotel with tennis courts, wellness facilities, and several restaurants complements the golf grounds and welcomes guests from around the world.

The resort took shape in the 1970s and grew into an internationally recognized venue through four Ryder Cup editions. These tournaments shaped the reputation of the course and turned it into a symbol of European-American golf competition.

The most famous holes sit at the tenth and eighteenth fairways, where spectators once watched professionals play over water hazards. Many British golfers regard these greens as tests of their own skills and come here to attempt the same shots.

The grounds sit in a rural setting, so a car or taxi ride offers the most comfortable approach. The main facilities cluster around the clubhouse, making it easy for visitors to find their way.

An expansion adds more rooms, a leisure club, and event spaces to the resort by 2025. This construction began in 2024 and is changing the original appearance of the property.
