Seaford

Seaford is a coastal town in East Sussex that sits beside white chalk cliffs overlooking the English Channel. The town has a long beach, seafront promenade, and access to walking paths that lead toward the South Downs.

In the 16th century local records called residents cormorants because they collected goods from shipwrecks along the shore. This unusual name shows how closely the early settlers depended on what the sea brought.
