River Quaggy, River through Greenwich and Bromley, England.

River Quaggy is a waterway that flows through Greenwich and Bromley in south-east London before joining the Ravensbourne. It runs through several parks and urban neighborhoods, with each section having its own distinct character.

During the 20th century the waterway was channeled with concrete to control flooding. Later on, community groups pushed for restoration to more natural conditions.

The river serves as a gathering place where local people walk and watch wildlife along its banks. Residents use the towpath through the neighborhoods as part of their daily routine and leisure time.

The waterway is accessible via walking paths in Manor Park, Manor Gardens Park, and Sutcliffe Park. The routes are easy to follow and work well for casual strolls alongside the water.

During heavy storms, Sutcliffe Park transforms into temporary lakes that function as a natural flood management system. This design allows the park to keep its recreational spaces while storing excess water.
