The park spread across several acres of coastal land, featuring roller coasters, water rides, and carnival attractions with American frontier decorations and designs.
Established in 1906 as West End Amusement Park, the facility underwent multiple transformations before becoming Frontierland in 1987 under the Thompson family ownership.
Generations of British families experienced entertainment at this seaside attraction, which represented the golden age of coastal amusement parks in England.
The former park grounds have been redeveloped into retail spaces, including a Morrisons supermarket, with additional commercial buildings planned for future construction.
The Texas Tornado roller coaster and Sky Ride cable car system provided visitors with elevated views of Morecambe Bay and the distant Lake District mountains.
