Frontierland, Morecambe

Frontierland was an amusement park in Morecambe with rides and attractions designed around an American frontier theme. The site occupied a coastal location and featured rides ranging from family attractions to larger thrilling experiences.

The site started as West End Amusement Park in 1906 and went through several changes in ownership and theme before becoming Frontierland in 1987. Management shifts brought new attractions and ideas to the park throughout its long history.

The Texas Tornado roller coaster and the Sky Ride cable system once gave visitors sweeping views across the bay toward distant mountains. These two attractions became signature features that many people remembered long after their visit.
