Globe Arena is a football stadium in Morecambe with a seating capacity of around 6,500 spread across multiple stands and terraces. The ground includes the Peter McGuigan Stand, Bay Radio Stand, Omega Holidays Stand, and an open terrace section for different viewing preferences.
The stadium was built starting in May 2009 and officially opened in August 2010 after site preparation and steel structure installation. This new ground gave the club a modern home to call its own.
The club's nickname 'The Shrimps' comes from Morecambe's long tradition of shrimp fishing, connecting the team to the town's maritime heritage. This link to local fishing culture gives the club a distinctive identity rooted in everyday community life.
