Oakwood Theme Park, Family theme park in Pembrokeshire, Wales
Oakwood Theme Park is an amusement park covering roughly 80 acres in Pembrokeshire, Wales, featuring several roller coasters and water attractions. Rides include the wooden Megafobia, Speed, and Drenched, along with many other options for families with children of different ages.
The park opened in 1987 initially offering smaller attractions such as BMX tracks and go-karts. During the nineties, new roller coasters and rides were added, turning it into the largest theme park in Wales.
The Neverland section, introduced in 2013, features rides based on J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan stories, including the Jolly Roger Ship and Skull Rock flume.
The entrance sits near a free parking area, and facilities include lockers and kennels for dogs. Several restaurants and snack stands are spread across the site, so visitors can grab food between rides.
The wooden roller coaster Megafobia was built in 1996 and remains one of the most recognized rides of its kind in Britain. Many visitors come to the park specifically for this ride.
