Annadorn Dolmen, Neolithic burial site near Loughinisland, Northern Ireland.
The Annadorn Dolmen consists of a large rectangular capstone measuring 65 centimeters thick positioned upon three supporting stones of 60 centimeters height.
Archaeological investigations in 1802 revealed the dolmen was originally part of a 60-foot diameter cairn containing human remains and ashes within its chamber.
Thomas Russell, leader of the United Irishmen, selected this ancient monument as a meeting location for his political gatherings during the 18th century.
The archaeological site remains accessible throughout the year without entrance fees, situated at coordinates 54.34197 latitude and -5.8036577 longitude in County Down.
The structure stands on elevated ground offering views of three medieval church ruins along the northeastern shore of Loughinisland Lake.
