Attingham Park, Historic estate and mansion in Atcham, England
Attingham Park is a historic estate with a mansion in Atcham, England, built in the Neoclassical style. The building shows a symmetrical facade with large columns and decorated stonework, surrounded by an extensive park with walking paths and a walled garden.
The estate was built in 1785 for Noel Hill, the first Baron Berwick. The Hill family lived here until 1947, when the property passed to the National Trust.
The name comes from Noel Hill, who built the family seat here. Visitors today see rooms with original furnishings and paintings that show the daily life of an English aristocratic family in the late 18th century.
The house and park have separate admission areas, and wheelchairs are available for loan. Twelve charging points for electric vehicles are located on the grounds.
The walled garden contains a Regency bee house from 1805. It is one of only two surviving examples of this kind in England.
