Bath Road Reservoir, Victorian water tower on Bath Road, Reading, England
The brick water tower features red and blue polychromatic patterns, rising prominently with a cast iron storage tank capable of holding 112,000 gallons.
Built in 1850 by the Reading Union Water Company, the reservoir complex provided filtered water distribution to meet the increasing demands of Reading's growing population.
The Grade II listed building status recognizes the water tower's significance in representing Victorian municipal engineering and architectural developments in urban water supply.
The water tower structure contains six internal rooms with different flooring materials, connected by stairs leading to the upper storage tank section.
The reservoir site spans 5.38 acres of land, incorporating underground water storage facilities completely covered by vegetation that supports local wildlife populations.
