Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park, Safari park and zoo near Stirling, Scotland
Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park is a 120-acre wildlife facility near Stirling where lions, tigers, elephants, kangaroos, and many other species roam in naturalistic settings. The animals live in spaces that mimic their native environments, allowing visitors to observe their behavior in semi-wild conditions.
The site grew from Blair Drummond House, built in 1715, and became a safari park in 1970 after tea merchant Sir John Kay acquired the land. This transformation changed the estate from a private residence into a public wildlife experience.
The park teaches visitors about wildlife conservation through driving tours and boat rides that move through different habitats. People experience how animals behave in semi-natural settings and understand the importance of protecting them.
The park opens daily and offers different ways to see animals, including driving through enclosures and taking boat rides. On-site dining, shops, and parking make visits comfortable and convenient.
The Macaque Drive-Thru lets visitors watch monkeys from their vehicles, creating a close and unusual encounter. Guests can also walk through Lemur Land among free-roaming Madagascar lemurs.
