Christ Church, Rossett, Gothic Revival church in Rossett, United Kingdom.
Christ Church is a Gothic Revival building with stone walls, green slate roof, and a cruciform floor plan. The central tower stands above the choir at the crossing point, creating a traditional church silhouette.
This church was built in 1892, replacing an earlier structure from 1841. A prominent Chester architect named John Douglas designed the new building.
The interior displays carefully crafted wooden fixtures, including the altar screen, choir stalls, and organ case, all designed by architect John Douglas himself. These handmade details shape the character of the space.
The churchyard holds a village war memorial and burial sites from both World Wars. Visitors can walk through the grounds and pay respects at these commemorative areas.
The church tower displays a clock face on its east side while the other sides feature openings designed to project the sound of the bells outward. This practical design merges function with visual form.
