The present structure, completed in 1892, replaced an earlier church from 1841 and was designed by Chester architect John Douglas at a cost of £3,677.
The interior showcases intricate wooden furnishings, including reredos, stalls, pews, and organ case, all designed by architect John Douglas himself.
The churchyard contains a village war memorial and Commonwealth War Graves of seven British Army personnel from both World Wars.
The church tower includes a clock face on its east wall while the remaining sides display three-light louvred bell openings for sound projection.
