Church of All Saints, Helmsley, Anglican parish church in Helmsley, England

The Church of All Saints stands in Helmsley with a three-stage west tower, four-bay nave, and two-bay chancel, all built from sandstone. The building also includes transepts, a vestry, and a south porch as part of its overall structure.

A place of worship existed here before the Norman conquest and appeared in records from 1086. Major renovation work between 1866 and 1869 transformed the building into its current form.

The north chapel honors Aelred, the third abbot of Rievaulx Abbey, and visitors can see his association reflected in the space. The south chapel dedicates itself to Columba with wall paintings that show scenes from that period.

The church opens daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for visitors to explore at their own pace. Sunday services occur regularly, so visiting on a weekday may offer a quieter experience if preferred.

The pipe organ installed in 1931 came from Harrison & Harrison, a respected builder of that era, replacing an earlier instrument from 1868. This organ remains a notable feature of the interior and reflects the craftsmanship of its time.
