Chateau Impney

Chateau Impney is a country house hotel in Droitwich Spa, England, occupying a Grade II* listed building. The property offers 106 rooms, several function spaces and a reception area with bars, surrounded by landscaped gardens.

An industrialist commissioned the construction of this residence between 1873 and 1875 as a gift for his wife. During World War II the military used the property as a base.

The name merges the French word for castle with the old local place name Impney, reflecting the original owner's wife's fondness for France. Today you can find guests in the salons and dining room attending weddings or corporate events, while the gardens are often used for strolls.

Access to the public areas is through several entrances with steps, and alternative routes are available for wheelchair users. The property is open year-round and lies close to the center of Droitwich Spa.

Until 2023 the grounds hosted an annual hillclimb race for historic cars that attracted thousands of spectators. The event was held on the winding paths within the estate and ranked among the best-known of its kind in England.
