Clogwyn Du'r Arddu, Rock climbing cliff in northern Snowdon, United Kingdom

Located at an elevation of 707 meters, Clogwyn Du'r Arddu features multiple buttresses with over 200 established climbing routes on rhyolite rock formations.

The first recorded ascent occurred in 1798 when botanists Peter Bailey Williams and William Bingley climbed the Eastern Terrace searching for alpine plants.

British climbing traditions flourished at Clogwyn Du'r Arddu through generations of climbers, including Colin Kirkus, Joe Brown, and Don Whillans in the 20th century.

Climbers access routes graded from Diff to E9, with the north-facing cliff requiring careful preparation due to variable weather conditions throughout the year.

In 1986, Johnny Dawes completed Indian Face, establishing one of the most technical traditional climbing routes, graded E9 6c, on the Great Wall section.
