Fuller's Brewery, Historic brewery in Chiswick, London, England
Fuller's Brewery is a brewing facility located along the River Thames in Chiswick that combines traditional and modern production methods. The site uses both historic copper vessels and contemporary equipment to produce its ales.
The brewery was established in 1845 when John Bird Fuller partnered with Henry Smith and John Turner to start brewing operations in west London. For more than a century it remained independent family-owned, until Japanese corporation Asahi acquired it in 2019.
The brewery preserves its original Georgian architecture and displays one of the country's oldest wisteria vines, which has been climbing its exterior since 1816.
The site offers daily tours where visitors can follow the brewing process from start to finish and learn about the techniques used. At the end of the tour, guests can sample different beers and visit the attached shop or pub.
The site houses a collection of beer bottles from different countries and time periods that tell the story of brewing traditions across the world. This curated collection shows how brewing methods and styles have evolved globally.
