Echo Arena Liverpool, Concert hall at Kings Dock, Liverpool, England
Echo Arena Liverpool is a concert hall at Kings Dock in Liverpool, England, with a glass facade and an interior that spans three levels. The space holds around 11,000 visitors and offers seating on multiple tiers with views toward the central stage.
The hall opened in January 2008 during Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture and was part of a broader project to develop the docks. Since then, the site has served numerous international artists and hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023.
The hall takes its name from a local newspaper and is now used for live performances of all kinds, from rock to classical music. Evenings here often fill with visitors from across northwest England who meet in nearby bars and restaurants before showtime.
The site sits on the waterfront and can be reached on foot from Liverpool city centre, with a railway station nearby as well. Arriving early allows time to explore the area along the waterfront promenade or to wait in one of the nearby cafés.
The building shares a common roof with the adjacent convention center, which is uncommon in Europe. This combination allows two events to run in parallel on the same site without the groups needing to cross paths.
