Fatlips Castle, Tower house on Minto Crags, Scottish Borders, United Kingdom.

The four-story rectangular structure sits atop Minto Crags, measuring 8.15 meters from north to south and 9.83 meters from east to west.

The Turnbull family constructed the initial tower in the late 1300s after Walter Turnbull received the barony of Minto charter from King David II.

The castle earned its name from a custom where gentlemen visitors were permitted to kiss ladies upon entering the building.

The structure requires written consent from Historic Environment Scotland for any repairs or modifications due to its scheduled monument status.

The castle utilized a system of bonfires to communicate alerts across the River Teviot to Bedrule Castle during times of danger.
