Jamestown Viaduct, Railway viaduct in Inverkeithing, Scotland.
The Jamestown Viaduct features four steel girder spans supported by three sandstone piers and stone arches at each end of the structure.
Constructed between 1887 and 1890 by Sir John Fowler and Sir Benjamin Baker, the viaduct forms part of the northern approach to the Forth Bridge.
The Category B listed structure represents Victorian engineering excellence through its combination of steel and masonry construction techniques.
The viaduct carries rail lines between Edinburgh and Aberdeen, supporting approximately 200 train movements daily across its 33.4-meter-long steel spans.
The structure incorporates a skew arch design with non-continuous truss girders positioned at 70 degrees, creating an engineering solution for the terrain.
