Jeskyns

Jeskyns is a community woodland park in Gravesend featuring multiple accessible paths and trails throughout its grounds. Four constructed ponds create habitats where local wildlife and plant species thrive.

The site evolved from agricultural land into a nature reserve dedicated to restoring traditional North Kent landscape elements. Native woodlands and historic orchards were reestablished as part of this transformation.

The woodland functions as a place where visitors learn about local ecosystems through information boards and community-led activities throughout the year.

The park maintains seven kilometers of well-maintained hard trails and grass paths suited for walkers, cyclists, wheelchair users, and riders. Daily opening begins at 7 AM.

Children discover natural play areas featuring tree houses and hop pole structures woven into the woodland setting. These features encourage outdoor exploration and imaginative play.
