Sir Robert Smirke designed this mansion in 1812 for the Marquess of Queensberry, with stone materials sourced from Cove quarry near Kirkpatrick-Fleming.
The architectural design reflects Greek Revival style with a grand three-story hall supported by Doric columns and decorated balustrades topped with urns.
The property now functions as a luxury wedding venue with indoor and outdoor spaces available for ceremonies and receptions throughout the year.
During both World Wars, this private residence transformed into the Kinmount Auxiliary Hospital, serving the medical needs of the community.
