Linden Hall, Georgian manor hotel in Longhorsley, England.
Linden Hall is a Georgian manor house in Longhorsley that now operates as a hotel with 50 guest rooms spread across multiple floors. The sandstone building displays classical proportions reflecting its original 1813 architectural design.
Charles William Bigge, a Newcastle banker, commissioned architects Sir Charles Monck and John Dobson to build this mansion in 1813. The house remained a private residence for more than a century before its conversion to hotel use.
The hotel reflects English hospitality traditions through its two restaurants that serve regional cuisine prepared with local Northumberland ingredients. Visitors experience the connection between the building and its surrounding food culture.
The property provides 200 parking spaces and is equipped with an indoor swimming pool and spa facilities for guest use. The location features an 18-hole golf course designed by Jonathan Gaunt.
The name comes from a nearby stream, and the property was a private home for the Liddell, Ames, and Adamson families for generations. It only changed use when it became a hotel in 1963.
