Middleton Lodge

Middleton Lodge is a Palladian mansion set within an extensive estate in Yorkshire that includes restored stables, a farmhouse, and ornamental gardens. The grounds spread across rolling countryside with formal gardens and parkland creating distinct sections throughout the property.

Architect John Carr designed and built the property between 1777 and 1780 for George Hartley, a wealthy landowner in the region. The construction methods and design choices reflect the building standards and tastes of the late 1700s.
