Mountnessing Windmill, Post mill from 1807 in Mountnessing, England.

The wooden structure of this mill contains two pairs of millstones and features four spring sails extending from its central post mechanism.

After operating until 1924, the Mountnessing Parish Council acquired the mill in 1937 and initiated repairs as a memorial to King George VI.

The mill demonstrates the evolution of grain processing methods in Essex through its mechanical systems and architectural elements dating from the 19th century.

Visitors can explore the interior of the windmill during scheduled open days, occurring on the third Sunday of each month from May through October.

The mill incorporates a sixteen-sided roundhouse with a tarred felt roof, replacing its original thatched covering that was removed in 1909.
