Northala Fields, Park with artificial hills in Northolt, United Kingdom
Northala Fields is a park featuring four artificial hills spread across 27 hectares in the Northolt area. The site includes fishing lakes, wildlife ponds, grassland, and walking areas for recreation.
The park was created in the early 2000s using demolition materials from Wembley Stadium, which was torn down in 2003. These materials formed the foundation of the four distinctive hills.
Students from nearby schools created a mosaic in 2008 that honors the educational role of local institutions in the community. The artwork shows the connection between the schools and their neighborhood.
The park has two parking areas and many benches throughout the grounds for visitors. Getting there is straightforward using local bus routes or Northolt tube station nearby.
The tallest mound rises 22 meters high and offers views of central London and Canary Wharf when you walk along its spiral path. This viewpoint shows how the park creates far-reaching landscape perspectives despite being made from recycled materials.
