The Parish Church of St Mary with St Peter stands with Gothic Revival elements, designed by architect Richard Lane and completed in 1830.
Before the current structure, a religious building existed on this location since 1280, serving the local townships of Oldham, Chadderton, Royton, and Crompton.
The Grade II* listed building contains twelve bells cast in 1922 by John Taylor & Co, plus an additional historical bell from 1722 by Abraham Rudhall II.
Sunday services take place at 10:30 AM and Wednesday services at 10:00 AM, with the church located at Rock Street, Oldham, Manchester, OL1 3AT.
The construction budget increased from an initial estimate of £5,000 to a final cost of £30,000, with substantial funds dedicated to the crypt structure.
