RAF Uxbridge, Former air base in United Kingdom
RAF Uxbridge served as a Royal Air Force station located in Uxbridge, within the London Borough of Hillingdon.
Established in 1918, RAF Uxbridge played a significant role during World War II.
The site is famous for the Battle of Britain Bunker, from where the air defense of London was coordinated.
Though no longer an active air base, parts of the grounds have been developed for housing and community use.
RAF Uxbridge houses a Grade I listed building, an underground operations room used during the Battle of Britain.
