Rusland Hall, English country house in Colton, England.
The main structure of Rusland Hall features architectural elements from 1720, with extensions added during the 1840s through renovations by the Rawlinson family.
The Rawlinson family maintained ownership of Rusland Hall from the 17th century until 1750, when the property transferred to the Archibald family's possession.
Between 1970 and 1987, the hall functioned as a specialized museum displaying mechanical musical instruments, preserving technological entertainment history.
Rusland Hall sits at the head of Rusland Valley, surrounded by 400 acres of deciduous woodland, between Lake Windermere and Coniston.
The building served multiple functions throughout its history, including operating as a girls' school and a children's home before becoming a private residence.
