St Beuno’s Ignatian Spirituality Centre

St Beuno’s Ignatian Spirituality Centre, Jesuit spiritual center in Tremeirchion, Wales.

St Beuno's Ignatian Spirituality Centre is a Gothic Revival building positioned high above the Vale of Clwyd with views toward the Snowdonia mountains. The property contains individual guest rooms with ensuite bathrooms, meeting rooms, extensive gardens, and multiple chapel spaces for prayer and quiet reflection.

Architect Joseph Hansom designed the building in 1848 as a Jesuit theology college. The facility was converted into a spirituality center focused on retreat work and personal development in 1980.

The center operates as a place of Ignatian spiritual practice, where visitors participate in retreats and guided programs focused on personal reflection and inner development. The gardens and prayer spaces serve as everyday settings for contemplation and meditation.

The site sits at elevation with expansive views, so sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. Visitors should inquire about current programs and activities upon arrival to make the most of their stay.

The striking Rock Chapel south of the main building was constructed in 1876 by a student and offers a secluded retreat with views overlooking the Tremeirchion valley. This stone chapel built into the hillside represents a rare example of student architectural ambition within a religious community.
