Llannerch Hall, Country house in Trefnant, United Kingdom

Llannerch Hall is a three-story country house in Trefnant set within mature parkland with symmetrical facades in Italianate style. The building features decorative bay windows and rises prominently above the surrounding landscape.

The house was built on a medieval site known as Lleweni Vechan and underwent major reconstruction in the early 1600s under Sir Peter Mutton's supervision. These changes created the structure we see today with its distinctive architectural style.

The gardens show Italian influence from the 1600s with terraced layouts and water features that reflected the design tastes of that era. Visitors walking through the grounds can sense how the landscape was carefully shaped to impress and delight.

The estate sits within parkland on the northern side of Trefnant and is accessible via a drive from the A525 road. Visitors should note that the building is now divided into apartments, so public access may be limited to exterior grounds.

The entrance hall preserves 18th-century limestone floors, decorative plaster cornices, and a classical frieze paired with an ornate wooden vestibule screen. These details reveal the craftsmanship and decorative ambition of the building's original owners.
