St Eugrad's Church, Medieval church building in Llaneugrad, Wales.
St Eugrad's Church is a medieval church building in Llaneugrad constructed from rubble masonry with gritstone dressings and topped by a slate roof. The west gable displays a striking 17th-century bellcote that defines its exterior character.
The building dates from the Middle Ages and contains a 12th-century chancel arch along with a 13th-century crucifixion stone. Later changes took place during the 16th and 19th centuries, shaping its current appearance.
The church holds numerous memorials from the 18th and 19th centuries honoring members of the Williams family who were tied to the local estate. These monuments reflect the family's social importance in the community across multiple generations.
The church sits roughly half a mile from Marian-glas village and is reachable on foot. Although it has lacked a permanent priest since 2012, regular services continue to be held there.
Inside, a 12th-century tapered bowl font survives as a rare remnant from that early period. The roof framework also displays distinctive collared trusses from the late 17th century that catch few visitors' attention.
