Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology, University museum in Reading, England.
The Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology contains more than 3,000 objects from Mediterranean civilizations, including ceramics, metals, and stone artifacts.
Percy Ure established this museum at the University of Reading in 1922, following an initial donation of Egyptian antiquities by Hilda Petrie in 1909.
The museum maintains collections of Greek and Etruscan ceramics, terracotta figures, bronze jewelry, musical instruments, and a mummified cat head from ancient Egypt.
Located on the ground floor of the Edith Morley Building, the museum welcomes visitors Tuesday through Thursday from 09:30 to 16:30 without admission fees.
The museum functions as the Reading branch of the Young Archaeologists Club and collaborates with international scholars through digital research initiatives.
