Eaton Park Miniature Railway

Eaton Park Miniature Railway is a rideable model train line in Norwich that spans over one kilometer of track across the park grounds. The route combines both elevated and ground-level sections designed to accommodate different gauges of miniature locomotives.

This line was established in 1960 by the Norwich and District Society of Model Engineers, starting with an elevated track section. The project developed over time as the society expanded the layout and added new features.

The railway functions as a gathering place where model engineering enthusiasts share their technical knowledge and operate various locomotive types.

The park is open during daylight hours and the trains typically run on selected weekends depending on the season. Visitors should check operating times before arriving, as running days depend on volunteer availability and weather conditions.

The railway operates with two different track gauges on the same site, allowing model locomotives of different scales to run through the park. This unusual setup draws collectors and operators who work with different sizes of miniature trains.
