Forglen House, Category A listed country house in Turriff, Scotland
The mansion forms the centerpiece of the Forglen estate, featuring classical design elements and spacious rooms adorned with Corinthian columns.
King William the Lion granted these lands to the Abbey of Arbroath before 1211, with the original castle constructed around 1346.
The estate holds significance as the former residence of Lord Banff's family and later the Abercromby baronets during the 18th century.
While the mansion remains private, visitors can access the grounds and rent holiday cottages, including one of the lodge houses.
During World War II, the property contained an Auxiliary Unit Patrol station prepared for resistance against potential German invasion.
