Great Comp Garden, Historical garden in Comp, England.
The seven-acre garden contains formal terrace lawns, island beds, and dense plantings of magnolias, azaleas, salvias, crocosmias, and dahlias throughout the grounds.
Roderick and Joyce Cameron transformed this Georgian farmhouse garden in the 1950s, starting with 4.5 acres before expanding and opening to the public in 1968.
The garden hosts multiple annual events including the Spring Plant Fair, outdoor Shakespeare performances, and music festivals in its small theater setting.
Visitors can explore The Old Dairy Tearoom, which serves seasonal menus with homemade lunches and locally sourced products in the former dairy building.
The garden features hand-built architectural elements including artificial ruins and a temple, complemented by notable statuary such as Pope's Urn amid the landscaping.
