Kilkerran House

Kilkerran House is a country residence in Dailly, Scotland, redesigned in 1818 by architect James Gillespie Graham. The interior contains spacious rooms decorated with fireplaces crafted by William Adam.

The Fergusson family came into possession of these lands in the early 1300s through a royal grant from Robert the Bruce. This ownership remained within the family through the centuries that followed.

The grounds reflect how Scottish landed families have traditionally arranged their estates over many generations. The carefully designed landscape around the house shows the values and tastes of those who lived here.

The name Kilkerran comes from Gaelic words meaning the head of the loch near the church of Saint Ciarán. This ancient place name reveals how the landscape and sacred sites were named long ago.
