Church of St Mary

The Church of St Mary is a Gothic structure with stone walls, large stained glass windows, and a spire reconstructed in 1761 after the original collapsed in 1703. The interior contains medieval details and evidence of later restorations that shaped the building over time.

John Wycliffe served as rector here from 1374 to 1384 and worked on translating the Bible from Latin into English. His presence at this church connected it to a significant moment in religious history.
