Hanover Lodge, Grade II* listed house in Regent's Park, London, GB

Hanover Lodge at 150 Park Road is a house with architectural elements designed by John Nash, located prominently overlooking Regent's Park. The property features modern amenities added during extensive renovations in the 1990s, including an underground swimming pool that converts into a ballroom.

The house was built around 1827 for General Sir Robert Arbuthnot and underwent major changes over the following centuries. Architect Edwin Lutyens significantly modified the upper levels in 1909.

The building shows a blend of different architectural periods, combining Nash's original design with later additions that reflect changing tastes. You can see how each architect left their mark on the structure.

The best way to reach the location is on foot through the surrounding parks or via the main road that connects to public transport. The building sits on elevated ground with good views, so be prepared for some steps leading to the entrance.

The property achieved a particularly high purchase price in 2012, making it one of Britain's most remarkable private transactions. This sale underscores how sought-after the finest addresses at Regent's Park have become.
