The red sandstone town hall features a prominent clock tower reaching 115 feet high and stands in the center of Lockerbie's main street.
The municipal building, completed in 1891 at a cost of £4,000, was designed by architects David Bryce and Frank Carruthers in Scottish baronial style.
Inside the town hall, stained glass windows display flags representing the 21 nations affected by the 1988 Pan Am Flight 103 incident.
The structure contains multiple functional spaces, including a grand hall and lesser hall, which serve for community gatherings and municipal services.
A sculpture of five life-sized sheep, installed in 2013, stands outside the building to represent the location's historical lamb market significance.
