Kilmartin Castle, Tower house in Kilmartin, Scotland.

The stone castle consists of a three-story main block with round towers at the north-east and south-west corners, including a small stair tower.

Built around 1580, the castle belonged to the Campbells and served as residence for John Carswell, who later became the Bishop of the Isles.

The structure maintains original defensive elements such as gun loops and iron grilles, representing 16th-century Scottish fortification techniques.

Following extensive restoration work completed in 2019, the castle operates as a guesthouse with modern bathrooms, copper baths, and antique furnishings.

The castle stands near multiple archaeological sites in Kilmartin Glen, surrounded by ancient standing stones, burial cairns, and hill forts.
