The Albert, Victorian pub in Westminster, London, England
The Albert is a four-story pub housed in a yellow brick building with red brick ornaments and decorative stucco work on Victoria Street. Hand-etched frosted glass windows feature throughout its Victorian facade.
The Artillery Brewery constructed this Grade II listed building in 1862, replacing a former pub that had stood at the location. The new establishment quickly became a meeting place in the area near Parliament.
The Prime Ministers Gallery inside displays photographs and memorabilia from British politicians who have visited over the decades. This collection reflects the establishment's long relationship with nearby Parliament.
The pub serves traditional British meals and offers a selection of cask ales and craft beers. Visitors can enjoy classic pub dining in a comfortable setting that welcomes both casual drinkers and diners.
The pub preserves an original House of Commons Division Bell and displays one of Queen Victoria's napkins among its collection. These unusual artifacts reveal the strong connection to British political history.
