High Ashurst

High Ashurst is an outdoor education center set across roughly 56 acres of natural landscape in the North Downs, featuring woodlands and specialized climbing facilities. The site offers accommodation options including deluxe cabins, camping areas, and tipi villages, along with activities such as archery, climbing, and orienteering courses.

The estate began as High Ashes Farm in 1706 and later became the residence of Andrew Strahan, King's Printer during the Georgian period. The site's importance evolved as it served military needs in the decades that followed.

Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development manages this center, providing educational programs that connect students with nature through outdoor experiences and activities.
