The Kings Arms Hotel, Grade II listed hotel in Askrigg, England

The Kings Arms Hotel features a stone slate roof, three stories with three bays, and a mounting block with four steps attached to the wall.

Built in 1767 for John Pratt, a successful horse jockey at Newmarket Racecourse, the hotel was later purchased by John and Joseph Lodge in 1800.

The building served as the fictional Drovers Arms in the BBC television series All Creatures Great and Small, which aired from 1978 to 1990.

The hotel contains period features including sash windows with glazing bars on lower floors and 9-pane unequally-hung sashes on the second floor.

A cantilevered limestone staircase connects the floors, while the ground-floor lounge displays various dated paneling and an 18th-century fireplace.
