Ault Park, Public park in Mount Lookout, Cincinnati, United States
Ault Park is a large green space in Mount Lookout featuring an Italian Renaissance pavilion, flower gardens, and lookout points toward the Little Miami River valley. The grounds include walking trails, a playground, and picnic areas for visitors to use throughout their visit.
The park received its name in 1911 after Levi Addison Ault and his wife Ida May donated the land. In its early decades, sheep grazed across the lawns as an unconventional way to maintain the landscaping naturally.
The space serves as a gathering place where locals enjoy seasonal events, including the annual Concours d'Elegance that draws car enthusiasts from the region. These occasions have made the grounds a hub for community connection and shared leisure time.
The park welcomes visitors year-round and offers trails suitable for different activity levels. Wear comfortable shoes since the terrain is hilly in places and some paths involve elevation changes.
A notable feature is the adopt-a-plot program that started here in 1980 and was later adopted by public parks across the country. This model allowed neighbors to personally maintain and design small garden sections.
