Bodo Otto House, Historic house in Mickleton, US
The Bodo Otto House stands at the intersection of County Route 551 and Quaker Road, featuring traditional Georgian architectural elements and stone construction methods.
Built in 1766 and documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey since 1936, the house endured damage during the Revolutionary War in 1778.
The property changed ownership from William Scull to Bodo Otto Jr in 1772, and later to Samuel Tonkin in 1796 through Catherine Schweighausen.
Located at coordinates 39°47′20″N and 75°14′29″W, the house received National Register of Historic Places designation on December 12, 1976.
The house interior underwent reconstruction after the Revolutionary War, preserving elements from both its original construction and post-war renovation periods.
