Frank Thomas House

The Frank W. Thomas House is a residential property with a distinctive L-shaped layout, elevated rooms, stucco exterior walls, and broad roof overhangs located on Forest Avenue. The basement level was transformed into ground-level living space, expanding the usable rooms throughout the structure.

Built in 1901 for the daughter of James C. Rogers and her husband, this residence represents the architect's first fully matured Prairie Style design in Oak Park. The house marked an important moment in the architectural development of the area during that period.
