The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum occupies a 60,000-square-foot facility containing collections of aircraft, vintage motorcycles, automobiles, and historical engines.
Otto Kohl established the museum in 1962 in a former high school building before its relocation to a converted winery structure south of Hammondsport in 1992.
The museum maintains exhibits documenting the evolution of early 20th-century aviation technology through aircraft models, including reproductions of the AEA June Bug and Curtiss P-40 Warhawk.
Visitors access educational programs in the hands-on learning area, where engineering challenges and design activities support understanding of aviation principles.
The facility houses more than 20 aircraft specimens alongside 16 automobiles, presenting comprehensive displays of transportation development from the early 1900s.
