The 803-acre conservation area contains extensive hardwood forests with a network of trails traversing through mature tree stands and natural habitats.
Joseph E. Ibberson donated this land to Pennsylvania in 1998, leading to its establishment as a conservation area in 2000 under state management.
The land holds traces of Native American presence spanning 11,000 years, including settlements of Shawnee, Nanticoke, Lenape, and Iroquois tribes.
Visitors can access the conservation area through PA 225 north from PA 322/22, with entrance located 4.5 miles ahead on Camp Hebron Road.
The conservation area connects to the Appalachian Trail on Peters Mountain's northern slope, offering opportunities for extended hiking experiences.
