Kil-Kare Raceway

Kil-Kare Raceway is a motorsports facility with a 3/8-mile asphalt oval track built for stock car racing and a 1/4-mile dragstrip designed for acceleration competitions. The two separate courses allow the venue to host different types of racing events.

The facility first opened in 1951 as a dirt track but was paved right after the first race due to dust problems. This quick change to asphalt happened in the raceway's earliest days.

The facility plays a key role in developing young racing talent in the area, hosting competitions where high school students and junior dragster drivers can compete. Visitors witness the passion of local racers building their skills on the tracks.

The raceway sits on Dayton-Xenia Road and offers track rental options for private events and gatherings. Visitors should check conditions ahead of time to confirm the venue is operating on their preferred day.

The oval track has an unconventional design where vehicles enter a continuous sliding motion between turns one and four. This distinctive driving characteristic sets the track apart from more conventional racing layouts.
