Lindenwood Stadium

Lindenwood Stadium is a multipurpose facility in Belleville with seating sections on the north and south sides, both built with concrete structures. The venue serves as the central athletic facility for local competitions and community events throughout the year.

The stadium was built during the Great Depression in the 1930s as a Works Progress Administration project. It originally served as a high school sports facility before eventually being transferred to municipal control.

The stadium shifted from university use to community ownership when the local campus closed, and now hosts events that bring residents together. People gather here to watch local sports teams play and to participate in civic celebrations and gatherings.

The stadium is easily accessible on foot and remains open to the public during events and competitions. It is best to arrive early to secure good seating and allow time to find parking nearby.

From 2012 to 2023, the playing field displayed distinctive red and gray stripes instead of the traditional green color. This made it one of only four fields with this specific color scheme throughout the country.
